Where did the month go??

Wow, December was a really busy month for me and probably everyone else too. Trevor's birthday was on the 17th and it went off really well for someone who despises their birthday. We watched the Jazz and ate pizza and cheesecake (compliments of my sister) and washed it all down with some beerz. MMMM Calories! We had family in town from both sides and I had the last 4 days off work. I was really sick on Christmas Eve and Christmas but I survived. Our carpet arrived earlier than expected and it looks so great. Trevor did a great job, I helped...a little. I'll get pictures up soon of the new paint in the bathroom and the carpet...but we are going to Mexico on Wednesday for a week sooooo it might be awhile. I hope everyone else had a great holiday!

I can't think of a clever title

Yesterday I had my final in anatomy. I studied a bit but I know I am re-taking it so it didn't consume my entire weekend. About 20 minutes into the test the fire alarm goes off! HA! So we all calmly gathered our things (exactly what you aren't supposed to do) and when I got into the hallway it smelled VERY strongly of gas. Long story short we got shuffled into another building for about 20 minutes and then went back and finished. I'm not gonna lie I almost looked at my notes like 3 times but I didn't.

Trevor and I got a little Christmas tree last night! We also got 1 strand of lights and some red ornament ball thingys but I plan on using discarded PBR cans as the main decoration. I totally stole Kenzie's idea shhhh, don't tell her.

Other than that, not a lot has been going on. We painted our bathroom finally, the funky orange is gone and now we just need to finish the trim. We also finally bought our new carpet but it is backordered until the 19th. Boo hoo. I really wanted to have it in before Christmas but oh well.

Novemba is half ova!

Soooo what has been going on since I last checked in with my web log...? Well, the economy is still in the shitter but I luckily still have a job. Gas prices are down and I don't remember them being this low since 2006 (I think). We have a new President (elect)! As for my own little world I have come to accept that I will be taking anatomy again next semester. This bums me out, makes me feel a little like a failure but at the same time I have spoken with some of my classmates in my therapy class and most of them are on the same boat as me. Last night I was able to check out the lab and classrooms that the program uses. It was really nice, they had more space and equipment than most of the clinics I observed at. I'm really hoping to get in next Fall but it is becoming apparent that the money side of things might make that impossible. So I am also trying to gear myself up for not being upset if I have to wait a year to do it. I'm a little worried about banking on student loans as the credit situation in this country doesn't seem to be getting much better. We will see what happens! I was talking to Trevor's dad last night and he said that control is an illusion (which I totally believe) so I am trying to apply that to my current worries and just let the chips fall.

On a brighter note, the weather lately has been really nice and KSL says this weekend is going to be sunny and into the 60s! Woooo, maybe I can rake up the rest of our leaves. I raked up 11 bags last Saturday and my pampered little keyboard hands were hurting. I really love the trees in our yard but now I'm starting to see one of the negative aspects of having SO MANY trees! But they are totally worth it.

Addiction

I am very lucky that in my life I have never really been addicted to any substance. On Wednesday I went to the dentist to get a crown on one tooth and a filling on another...not fun, and I was in anxiety mode all day until my appointment. The procedures went fine though, they gave me a valium and I had a steady flow of nitrous the whole time....weeeeeee. ANYWAY I am addicted....to gum. Yes gum, minty gum to be specific. I can't make it through the day without it and if I find myself without gum I am thinking about when I can hurry and make a run to a store to get more gum. Sheesh. I can't chew gum right now because it can potentially pull out my temporary and it is driving me absolutely crazy! I am trying to switch to tic tacs and mints but it just isn't the same.

Photographic evidence of what I have been up to

I have some good pictures that have been taken over the last few weeks and since I am not studying until Monday (much needed break) I will just play around on here for a while ;)

Last weekend we hauled a bunch of sticks and dead stuff out of the yard for neighborhood clean up. We also removed a concrete path in our backyard. I found out it is kinda cool to break shit with a sledge hammer. ANYWAY it was physically hard work and I was beat the next morning and craving PANCAKES! So Trevor made some awesome pancakes for me from scratch. His sister-in-law supposedly makes an out of this world awesome homemade pancake so he got the recipe from her and cooked them for me. This is my "mickey mouse" pancake...ummm yeah it looks like winnie the pooh. Trevor couldn't believe that I had never had a mickey mouse pancake before and even after that I guess I still haven't.

It is starting to get COLD here and we are actually supposed to see some snow over the next few days. LAME. Since the bad weather is coming, we harvested all of our basil to make a giant batch of pesto to get us through the months when we can't pick some out of the backyard. I absolutely LOVE this picture because Trevor looks like a wild animal in the basil jungle.

Our kitty has a little friend who hangs out in our yard all the time. He (I assume he's a boy) is really scared of me but he looks in our windows and generally is smitten with our kitty. I totally scored a picture of him on our shed the other morning as I was leaving for work. Lily got in a fight a few weeks ago, as manifested but a cut up kitty face, and I have a sneaking suspicion that she told him she just wanted to be friends or something.

Other than that I have been studying LIKE CRAZY but I took two tests this week, so it should be a little more relaxing over the next few days.

YAY it's Fall!

So I now finally am feeling like it is Fall which is my absolute favorite time of year. Crispy air, warm sunshine and aweome colors...what is not to love? I'm also stoked because I finally fingured out how to change these backgrounds to "cutesie poo" stuff. On the down side, I had to retire my favorite jeans this morning due to a ripped off belt loop and some holes in crotch and thigh area :/ I'll miss you jeans! I'm conidering burying them in the backyard, that is how attached I am.

This week is going to be really hell-ish for me since I have my lab midterm Thursday morning and a lecture midterm on Friday!!! AAAHHHHH! Hopefully I do really well on these two so I don't have to worry so much for the rest of the semester.

Update long overdue

Wow! I have been slacking! I have been busy so I also have many excuses :p We worked with the cadavers for the first time in lab today, pretty smelly (as in formadehyde) but interesting. The bodies have been soaking for so long, their skin doesn't even really resemble a person, and all the muscles and organs are nearly the same color so it isn't at all what I was expecting. Sorry if that grossed you out.

I have been sick for the last 2-3 days with yesterday being the worst I have felt in a long time. I felt like I had the flu, it was horrible! So I left work at 12 because I just couldn't take it anymore and I really wasn't doing anything anyway. On Tuesday I did my first day of my 20 hour job shadowing assignment. I was at a care and rehabilitation center just a few blocks away from home. The commute was awesome ;) The old people were a lot of fun too! I got to observe people with broken bones, amputations, head injuries along with others too, I just can't remember right now.

I took my first anatomy midterm last Friday and will find out tomorrow how I did, I am pretty nervous! I need to get a B which means I need to average about 85 on all of my tests and I don't think the first one is going to be very good. Oh well, we will see tomorrow!

We haven't really done anything new to the house, but next on the agenda is tilling up and seeding the backyard to get it ready for some grass. Our garden is doing pretty well, we have eaten a bunch of tomoatoes, zucchini and acorn squash. The hot peppers are coming along and I have a rather large eggplant that I can't wait to eat.

I hope everyone is having a good start to Fall, it is my favorite time of year and I am really looking forward to it.

feeling the burn

So here I am 6 days into my new semester and I am already stretched pretty thin. It is taking me a little longer than expected to get to class and back to work, which is fine because my work is awesome and really flexible with me. But it sucks ass because my paychecks are going to hurt! Sorry Trev, I'm broke! And I am not kidding.

School seems to be going ok though, I feel behind in Anatomy because I don't really remember anything of my Biology prerequisite that I took in 2004....I wonder why? Too much time lapse and substance abuse would be my guess! So right now I am really busting my ass trying to catch up on cell structure/function and teach myself how to use a microscope.

Another obstacle I am facing is that I have 3 Dr appointments coming up in September and October. I have to get a crown and filling (eeeeep!) and my appointment fell the evening before my Lab midterm. So I changed that one around. Now I need to reschedule my yearly ummm..."not so fun" womanly dr appointment too. GRRR. Oh and all of these appointments are time away from work...so yeah...sorry again Trev! I'm even more broke than two paragraphs above. How about you just write me off as a dependent on your taxes? Kisses

1st day of skoo

I had my first day of Anatomy today, and my teacher seems really cool. The subject matter is interesting and even if I change my major (not planning on it) the information will be relevant to life in general. I found out we are going to have cadavers in our lab though! I'm excited because I think it will be so cool to see a human body on the inside. I'm kinda grossed out by it though, especially since my lab is 1st thing in the morning. I'm just picturing myself all sleepy eyed with my coffee mug standing over a dead body...kinda weird! Hopefully some of it will help me get over my anxiety about death...doubtful, but I have hope dammit. So I have lab tomorrow morning, wish me luck! I also have my intro to physical therapy class tomorrow night. Thursday is my "hell day" this semester. Lab from 8-9:50 and then work from 10:30 - 4:30 and finishing up with class from 5-6:50. Ugg.

Trevor has been in California since Sunday night and I am totally ready for him to come home. Our new couch was delivered on Monday and I was going to attempt assembling it last night only to discover it is the loveseat. Waaah waaah waaaaaaaaaaah. Oh and one set of our blinds is about 8" too long for the window it was for soooooo we paid another $50 to get them fixed since it can't be proven that the chick at Home Depot wrote it down wrong. I have faith in my boyfriend to measure windows and I'm pretty sure he has the mental capacity to do so, therefore, the error is not ours! We got them back last week and they didn't change anything. Whyyyyyyyyyyy does it have to be this way. Just cuz, that's why.

Some back yard action

So the backyard is where the majority of our efforts have gone since we bought the house. So far we have done a lot of clean up and planted a gareden with it's own "custom" fence ;) We have big plans for the finished product though, including a fountain in our pond...ooooooooh. Trevor is going to build a new frame for the deck and we are going to keep the existing redwood boards and use them for the new deck. We are also going to do a neat railing that will hopefully include some planter boxes.

The veggies are coming along quite well. We have lots of tomatoes and zucchini and some of the acorn squash (squashes??) are becoming muy grande! Our jalapenos are also coming along quite well and I'm uber excited to make some homegrown salsa. We planted a bunch of walla wallas...hopefully they get bigger or else our homegrown & homemade salsa with be just that with the exception of homegrown onions. Anyway, here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Ahh.. the overgrown yard of a house in foreclosure

Here is our little outdoor fridge to keep us refreshed, full, and slightly buzzed

This is when we still had grass! It was so nice to lay in while it lasted

Dexter is helping Trevor dig the new garden :)

Alright there is a time lapse of hot dry Utah summer combined with us letting the lawn die ...halfway on purpose so we can flatten it out and start over, and halfway out of laziness with watering.

Here are some shots of that party we had in July where the cops came to break it up at like 8:30...heh

It is August already??

We opened a credit card at home depot a few weeks ago and spent $1,000 on blinds for 5 windows, paint & paint supplies, some wood...and I think that is about it. This was quite a strange experience for me because I do not live my life in the "have now pay later." So as we are walking around shopping there I'm feeling really anxious like we shouldn't be doing this. I know that MOST people my age and MOST Americans for that matter do not share my mentality. I dont' buy stuff until I can pay for it (why is that so hard for most people?). But we did it, we made the plunge into some debt for stuff we need for the house that we now have a year to pay off interest free. I still feel anxious about it, but I guess that is a good thing because I am sure as shit not buying anything else on credit until this is paid off!

School starts 2 weeks from Wednesday and I am not sure I am ready to give up a lot of my free time but I don't have a lot of choice. Sad.

As I stated previously, Pioneer Day weekend was going to be a paint-a-thon for me. And it was! Kenzie came over on Saturday and helped me primer the hall. We drank lots of beer and ate sandwiches! Trevor was at a meeting ALL DAY that day and when he got home he fell asleep on the couch. RUDE! So I decided he was going to make us dinner, it was THE LEAST he could do ;) We had uber garlicky garlic burgers and red wine. YUM!

I don't know if I will ever paint really dark colors in my house. we painted our apartment some dark colors but who cares!? We lived there for a year and were not going to paint over it. Having to apply primer in 1-2 coats and THEN paint...ugh. Makes the job reaaallly long. Here are some hall and bedroom pictures, I have some "before's" of the bedroom but not really any of the hall...oops. ENJOY!

OMG ewww! Look at those UUUGGGGLYYY curtains!!

Ahhh sooo much better and now WITH BLINDS!

And here is the hall mostly covered in primer

and covered in paint!

ongoing debate

Spaghetti (or any pasta really) and green beans. Do they go together? I say HELL YES and Trevor says no. I don't mean green beans inside the spaghetti or pasta sauce, but as a side dish. Mmmm. I'm hungrier just thinking about it! We have a bag of frozen ravioli that I was going to make tonight and I asked Trevor to grab some sauce, green beans and parmesan. This brought up the debate yet again. Let me know what you think!

Trevor's car is cursed

So my boyfriends car aka "twin rocket" is cursed! Let me just give you a breakdown of her cursings:

-Accident in March 2006 in which we didn't even hit another car, but we went offroading in the benz on our way to lava hot springs. Said accident wasn't really anyones fault except this mysterious driver who didn't stick around after it happened. Oh and the giant bottle of rum we had in the trunk broke during the off-roadin'...heh "no officer we haven't been drinking! the rum spilled" <--that was really the truth.
-The Santa Claus incident. Early Monday morning in September....2007? Yeah 2007, last year. We had gone to see The Flaming Lips (great show) at Red Rocks the previous weekend and we just camped in my car. So on Monday when I had to go to work I went outside to get a bunch of the crap outta my car and there was a cop car blocking me in, but I didn't think much of because I would just politely ask him to move after I hauled all the belongings up the 47 stairs (you bet your ass I counted them...they sucked!) to our apartment on 6th Ave. ANYWAY the cop looked over at me and asked me if I knew "whose car this was?" Oh God, yes I know whose car that is! A UTA bus had knicked the corner of Trevor's car while it was parked on the street and when a big old bus knicks a car...it tears the bumper off! Jesus! What a sight that was! The twin rocket with her smile torn clean off and screws laying everywhere! Trevor was pretty calm about the whole thing and when the cop handed him the paper to sign stating the guilty party he discovered that the driver's name was legally Santa Claus. ?? Weird! Now the song "Here comes Santa Claus" has an entirely different meaning to us than other people.
-The hit and run. Okay so Trev works from home right. And our apartment had GIANT south facing windows overlooking our street and the valley. Great view, probably the biggest reason we decided to live there. So one wintery (still 2007) morning Trevor hears his car alarm going off and runs over to the window to discover a white subaru speeding away around the corner. Oh snap! So he walks Dexter around the block as usual and sees a white subaru and feels the hood and it is still warm. DING DING DING! Long story short cops come, tire tread in snow matches car that fits description with warm hood. Neighbor kid hit and ran his car because he was scared some asshole whose benz he just beaned would be pissed at him? Heh. Damage came in 'round $500 that Trevor paid for on his own and just barely started getting reimbursed for at $100 a month for 5 months. Gee.
-My bad! Um yeah so I suck and one morning I realized I left my phone in the apartment and hopped out of my running car to go grab it. Um yeah....I didn't pull the brake up so my car started rolling. Clunk! $@%$%^$#$^#% Sorry Trev! :'( I could tell he was pissed but he wasn't a dick about it and never really made me feel stupid for doing it. But still! Sheesh.
-Windy city. We had a giant windstorm last night and the gate from our fence (shitty and falling apart anyway) blew off and slammed into his car.
Together they just can't win! I don't even know if he should be driving it. That car is cursed!!

pie oh near day

So in Utah we get an extra (and paid in my case!) holiday. This year it happens to fall on a Thursday so I'm going to just make a long house-redmodeling-four-day-weekend of it. I'm actually excited because as soon as we get the hall and bedroom painted we can put in carpet...and it will look and feel soooo much better.

The closet road broke in the middle of the night a few nights ago. It was like 5 in the morning when I heard it and in my sleepy stupor I figured the cat was just fucking around and knocked something over...NOPE! So the closet needs a little attention over the next few days too. I seem to have the same problems haunting me from our last residence. The most apparent ones are breaking closet rods and toilets that don't flush. Trevor says I flush the toilet wrong so it's me that keeps breaking it. My response is he never flushes the toilet so it's very convenient that it is my fault. HMPF

how i spent my previous weekend...and will spend many to come

So I am long overdue to post some pictures of my house and the changes that have happened since the big purchase. I will start with a before of what the house looked like when we pulled up for the first time and knew it was "the one."

BEHOLD!

Wow, pretty scary looking huh? But be not afraid....my boyfriend is quite handy. The dude we bought the house from didn't know shit because even though all of the plants are dead, there were a lot of expensive perennials that just needed a little love and attention. Now you will see what it looked like late June, I know I know, it is in desperate need of weeding.

Ok so last weekend, I painted the back room....the purple one. Aka the office, it kind of looks like an acid trip to me with the light and dark purple combined with the peeling up shitty checkerboard floor. So Trevor and I bickered about paint. He wants the same neutral color for the office, bedroom and hall that connects them. BORING! I like color! But our house is small and I really do get my way with a lot of things so I gave it up and "vanilla cream" it is for that area of the house. Here are some before's of the office. Oh and yes, that ceiling is asbestos.

So on Friday night I started taping and applying primer to the dark purple wall and trim. Ugh having to do a coat of primer before the paint really sucks...makes the process nearly twice as long. Anyway, I did all of the trim and edging and Trevor did the rolling....I'm not quite a pro yet so he usually has to go over mine to smooth it out a lil. Looks better eh?

So now we still need to do the hall and bedroom, which I am anxious to get done so we can put in some new carpet!

We have put the majority of our effort into the backyard, but I want to wait until we are a little farther along with it to put up pictures, but the will also be here soon.

nothing too interesting really

I'm just tired and burned out at work, so this will pass some time. I understand why I'm tired...not going to bed until 12 or 1 combined with getting up between 6am-7am would probably make anyone tired right? And we are in full swing of the busy season at work so I am just burning the candle at both ends. For example the laundry feels like this horrible daunting task...well I guess Trevor's laundry is LOL but what I mean is I'm just really really tired so everything feels like a big fucking deal.

The house is coming along! I can see progress which is the only thing keeping me motivated over the last few days. It is hard to work ALL DAY and then come home to more work, a different kind of work, but WORK nonetheless. Trevor has really been busting his ass on the house, and I think it's great because he is an energetic person, and the amount of energy he has been putting in is really going to pay off for us. I realize more everyday how talented he is. Right now he stays up late everynight making bowls on the pottery wheel we have set up in our basement. He also made a little pot for my new spider plant and I have a half finished coffee mug coming my way!

thou shalt not make noise in they own yard

So we had a BBQ last night as an end to the long weekend of BBQ's. We marinated some ribs and chicken in BBQ sauce, tons (not kidding) of garlic and rosemary from the garden. We also marinated some artichokes for a few hours in a garlic/olive oil/vinegar/rosemary/lemon marinade...YUM! The food was great, the company was great and the music was great! BUT I guess even though the "noise ordinance" doesn't go into effect until 10:00 we managed to piss off our block at 8:00. Our next door neighbor came over at 8:15 to tell us to STFU because we woke her baby up. Okay, I didn't really mind responding and telling the band to shut down because I was trying to be understanding...I don't have a baby but I guess since I live next door to one I need to act like I do??? <---Maybe that is just me being cynical but whatever. So the band quit (LAME) and about 20 minutes later the cops came! Someone called the cops at 8:00 at night!! Holy shit! Is my street full of waking babies and geriatrics? Gawd! When the cops come strolling into my backyard we are playing croquet, drinking beer, and listening to the radio on our own property. They started checking ID's and we were all of age. HAHAHA but annoying none the less. Soooo lesson learned "thou shalt not make noise in thy own backyard."

and if i change my miiiiind....a million tiiiiimes

Wow I have been slacking! So we DID close on the house! First payment is due Aug 1st aye!! It is a good thing though, I feel really good about our largest monthly payment going toward something we own and get "credit" for. So the house front is going well, slow and steady. I'm already feeling some of the frustration of living in a construction zone but I am sure the payoff will be worth it!

On the school front I am going through some big changes. I have made the decision that I am going to try to get into the Physical Therapy Assistant program at SLCC. The only major hurdle I am facing is that financial aid may not be available for me. I am currently going through an appeal process and should no more in the next few days on whether or not it is going to be an option. Keep your fingers crossed for me! If I do get in, I will start either Fall 09 or Fall 2010 (Fall 10 just doesn't sound right...) and it will be full time for the 1st Fall semester, Spring, Summer and then a 2nd Fall semester. This is kinda stressful because I am not likely to be working during these 15 months. We will see what pans out.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

closing?

So we are going to close on our first house today at 4! I know I have probably said that at least 8 times before, but seriously it's happening...and if it doesn't there probably won't be any more blogs from me because I will have run far far away.

In the next few days I will post some before pictures of the house that we can FINALLY start remodeling now that it is ours. The plan includes painting, new carpet, knocking down a couple of walls, new cabinets and countertops in the kitchen (YAY!), probably some landscaping...but that probably won't happen until next spring.

Ayayi

Last week we met a neighbor from around the corner named Ayayi. He is from Togo which is a little country near the west coast of Africa. His story is so sad, like so many other refugees from other African countries. From what he has told us, most of his family was killed and he was sent to America by an organization so he can have a chance at a better life. His country is fighting for a democracy and the party in power does not want a democracy, so they are fighting to keep it away while others are fighting for it. He said the "bad men" would take 1,000 people a night from he refugee camps and dump them in the ocean. I can only imagine that is the tip of the iceberg as far as the bad things that are happening there. He is legally blind, he was tortured by being forced to stare at the sun for several hours a day. He needs friends and people to network with so badly. He told us that he gets $605 from social security every month and his rent (the half he pays) is $480. He volunteers 12 hours a week at the DI and they pay 1/2 of his rent. On Saturday we had a birthday BBQ at my house for McKenzie on Saturday filled with delicious food and drinks. We made margaritas with the "magic bullet" and grilled up some steaks and brats. I was working in the kitchen so I didn't get to eat much, but I still had a great time! After some people arrived I came outside and Ayayi was standing in our front yard so I invited him back and he had a great time! The next morning we went to "the sev" (7-11) and when we came back he was just sitting on our porch. He told us he had been sitting in our backyard drinking beer all morning LOL. He wants to hang out all the time, so we are working on a balance of being his friends, but he needs to understand that we want privacy at times as well. He was cracking me up by saying that the neighbors were going to tell us that "the black man was in our backyard." He is a really nice guy and I'm happy that he met us. Trevor will be able to help him find part time work, he knows soooooo maaaaannnyyyy people.

vaccines, thermometers up the butt and adequan injections

So yesterday afternoon the whole family went to the vet. Trevor didn't want to put lily in her little carrier box..."Can't I just hold her in my lap?" Sure! Why not? After she clawed the shit out of him (before we even left the driveway) he went inside and got the box. HAHAHA

Dexter needed all of his yearly shots and we did a blood test for heartworm (negative :) ). So Dexter has had an issue for about 2 years where his patella on his right back leg slips out of place. He usually yelps when it happens and it is likely to happen in cold weather or if he goes tearing ass across the yard or down the street for something. I knew that surgery was an option, but it didn't really seem in our Dr.'s opinion to be the best option for Dex. So I was just waiting it out to see if it would get better if he lost a little weight (lil chunky munky weighs 23 lbs!) and got regular long walks. When we went yesterday our Dr. gave us another option for his knee and we are going to start the treatments this fall. He will be gettin "adequan" injections in his leg twice a week for the first month. http://www.adequancanine.us/ Then after the initial treatment, he will likely only need them every 2-4 months on average. Yesterday I spent $200 at the vet and the first month of treatment for that is likely to run about $300-400. I know it is a lot of money but it is totally worth it to me. Both of my pets are pure extracts of sunshine in my life and make me smile and laugh several times a day.

Lily only had to get her feline leukemia vaccine so we can start letting her out as she pleases but she has to go back for a booster in 3-4 weeks before she is totally in the clear. In the mean time I am broke as shit and we still haven't closed on the house :o

ugggg

So we are moved into the new house. The cat is freaked out, the dog loves it, and I am unsure because we have SHIT EVERYWHERE!!! I have to jump hurdles to get from one room to the next. We were supposed to close on Friday (like so many other times when we were "going to close") and we didn't (big surprise) because someone at the title company took the afternoon off! grrr...But I stayed home this morning because we were "supposed to close" first this this morning, and I couldn't find my keys and would have been really late anyway! HAHAHA

I'm feeling kinda stressed about life right now but I am just trying to roll with it and not get all worked up. I want to take a trip to the beach house (want, not a need but I WANT I WANT I WANT) and I need to touch base with my grandpa about Trevor and I....mostly Trevor....painting his house this summer. I need to unpack...we need to paint blah blah blah...so many "to-do's." My stomach is super upset because it has only had coffee and water today, so maybe I will be happy if I have a sammich!! :p

o wow

So it has been over a year since my last post! HAHA what a slacker. Sooo I read my last post, and the apartment is old news, we have to be out by this Saturday. We put an offer on a house ohhhh I'm going to say two fucking months ago (at least). This house buying process is really a runaround hoopjumpathon. The lastest hitch in the process is that some dude had a $52,000 lien against the house and the guy selling it to us still has not taken care of it. Joy.

Anyway, "our" household has grown since my last post to include a super spunky, fluffy, meow-filled kitty named Lily (wiwy, wiwyz, lilypad, leeeeeeely). She is such a joy and I can't believe how awesome cats are! Seriously, I know they shit in the house and all, but she is great.

I'm seriously going to try to update this more, my old posts are a riot now.
